Kyle came to us last summer after surviving a coyote attack. Because he was bitten, he had to complete a full six-month rabies quarantine before he could be cleared for adoption. San Diego Humane Society’s Emergency Response Team just completed a technical rescue of a horse, who was unable to get up after an accident in a trailer on the I-15 in Escondido. The accident happened when the divider inside the trailer went down while three horses were inside. The owner of the horses pulled off the freeway and was able to get two of his horses up. However, the third horse, a Friesian, remained down. 9 members of our Emergency Response Team, 2 Humane Officers and a veterinarian
